I love family time!

Well, I got back from Myrtle Beach about an hour and a half ago. I got settled in, took a shower, and got online to see what I've missed! I haven't even unpacked yet! For some reason, unpacking sucks much more than packing! Ugh! Anyways.. Let me tell you about my wonderful trip!

At 9AM on Saturday morning, Ashley ( Tony's sister if you didn't know) got dropped off by her fiance, Kirk at Tony's apartnment. Perfect timing, because Tony and I were just walking down to put our stuff in his car. Then we greet them and Tony starts the car to get it warmed up and Ashley and I get in, waiting for Tony to get the rest of his stuff. So then we leave the apartment, and stop to get some gas. After that, we decided that we are pretty hungry, so we stop at Mrs. Winners and we each got a chicken biscuit! Mmm! So then we are on our way! About halfway there we stop at Augusta at this place called Stuckey's and we grab some snacks and then head on again! We finally arrive at April and Ryan's house at 3:30 PM and there are tons of family there. Ryan's side of the family, and April's. Madison is wearing the CUTEST dress that is red with a ladybug on it and her name! She is also wearing black tights and the cutest black shoes. I see her walking and I can't believe she can walk now! So, we open presents and then sing happy birthday and Maddy starts licking the icing off her cake. And she's lovin' it!

So, meanwhile we are all standing around and chit-chatting. We decide to head out with everyone and grab some dinner at this really good seafood restaurant (can't remember the name) and Tony and I get a Volcano Roll! Yumm! It had crab, asparagus, and cream cheese in it! So good! Then we head back to the condo where Ashley, Tony, me, and Tony's parents are staying. It's a 3 bedroom 2 bath condo. Really nice! Then we all sit down and start talking about stuff. :) It was good to catch up with them! Then everyone heads to bed. I finally get to sleep around 12:30 AM.

This morning was Madison's christening. So, we were told to be at the church bright and early at 8AM. Tony and I heard we had to leave at 7:30AM, so we decided to get up at 6:45 AM and get ready to go. We head out at 7:30 and get to the church. Come to find out, the service is at 8:30 instead of 8. So, everyone was kinda like what?! Because we could of slept longer! And trust me, sleep is precious!

So then Maddy gets christened and after the minister is done saying the prayer and all the things he needs to say for her to be christened, she starts clapping. Immediately the whole church starts laughing then clapping with her. It was the funniest thing!! And SO cute, of course! Then after the service, it was 9:30AM, and by this time Tony and I are STARVING, so Tony, me, Ashley, and their parents head over to Bob Evans to get some breakfast! I had the biscuits and gravy! Mmm! Then we head over to April and Ryans and hang out with them for a little bit.

We head out around 1:30. We stop at the gas station to get some snacks and we were on our way! We also stopped at Captain D's. Yum! I got the fried fish and fries! Haha. We drop Ashley off at her apartment then head back to Tony's and I grab my stuff and come back home. Now, here I am! Haha!

What a great trip I had though! I LOVE Tony's family. Like LOVE LOVE! Haha. And I love spending time with them! I love being able to get away with Tony also. Seeing how he is with his family, makes me fall in love with him all over again!

I feel like during this trip I've gotten closer to his family. Especially his sister, Ashley. We get along great! Ahh, what a great family to be apart of! Now, all I need is a ring! ;-)

No, but really. If Tony and I do get married, what an honor it will be to be apart of his family!

Well, off I go to sleep! The past two nights I've gotten 6 hrs of sleep. I'm usually running on 8 or 9! Haha! So, now I'm going to go to sleep and may never wake up! No, I kid. Haha!

Goodnight!!

Madison and Tony's sister, Ashley!

Maddy lookin' cute!!

Busy weekend ahead!

It's Friday! Yay! I have already started on my laundry, so once that is done then I can get to packing for Myrtle Beach this weekend! Too bad it's only gonna be in the 50's up there. I wish it would be in the 80's so I can lay out on the beach! Oh well, it's not like we would have time anyways. We are probably going to be getting there around 3PM and then probably go to the condo and drop our things off and get settled in, then go to Tony's sister and brother-in-law's house to celebrate Madison's 1st birthday. Then we will be spending time with them that night, then the next morning we are going to Maddy's christening and leaving after that to come back to ATL. So, it will be a short trip indeed, but it will be fun. :)

Tony's parents already left this morning, so they will be there before us. We would of left today also, but Tony had to work. BOO! ;P

Well, off to shower and get things ready for the trip!

I hope everyone has a safe and wonderful weekend! I will blog once I get back from Myrtle Beach!

A.I. Update!

If you didn't know what "A.I." stands for.. It's American Idol! C'mon now! :P

So NONE of my favorites went home this week! YAY! I'm totally excited about that.

Click here to find out who my favorites are!

I just felt like telling the world how happy I am that none of my favorite contestants got voted off! :)

NIGHT!

Thursdays are my Friday!

Since I don't have class Thursday, it's basically when my weekend begins. I only have classes on Mondays and Wednesdays, so I guess you could say my weekend starts on Wednesdays at 3:45, but they really start on Thursday for me.

I love Thursdays because I don't have class, and I get to see Tony. Although, I see him everyday because he comes over for lunch, I get to see him tonight for longer than 30 minutes! Since when he is over on his lunch break, it's only for about 30 minutes since he has to go back to work. :(

This weekend is going to be a busy one! Tomorrow I'm gonig to do a 'lil shopping for a new shirt or some nice black pants. I also have to do some laundry since I now have no clean clothes, since I'm a procrastinator. Then I have to pack for my and Tony's weekend trip to Myrtle Beach. I'm really pumped to get away for a couple days! I also more pumped that I get to see Tony's amazing family that I LOVE! Plus, it's his niece's birthday (which is the reason we are going up there this weekend) and I haven't see her in 6 months! So, I can't wait to see how grown up she's gotten!

So, tomorrow is going to be a busy, busy day. I think we are leaving town around 9AM Saturday morning. Which isn't TOO bad. But, I will having to be getting up around 8ish. Bummer! Haha. Oh well! I can do it! :)

Hope everyone has a GREAT Thursday!

American Idol Recap

So last night on American Idol the top 12 girls sang. There was only a few girls that I liked.

  • Didi Benami.

  • 23 years old

  • From Hollywood, CA

  • Very unique voice.

  • Katelyn Epperly

  • 19 years old

  • From West Des Moines, IA

  • Her voice is very unique and strong. She has great stage presence!

  • Katie Stevens

  • 17 years old

  • From Middlebury, CT

  • She has a very strong, amazing voice for being so young! I hope she goes far!

So, there were only 3 girls I liked out of the 12. The girls are a little weak this year, I think These 3 girls are the only ones that I could could have a chance winning. They have great voices!

Tonight, the top 12 guys from the top 24 sang. What great voices they have! Here are a few of my favorites!

  • Aaron Kelly

  • 16 years old

  • Sonestown, PA

  • He is young and SO good. Kind of reminds me of David Archuleta a little bit. I see him going far!

  • Lee Dewyze

  • 23 years old

  • Mount Prospect, IL

  • My favorite out of ALL 24 contestants so far! I LOVE his voice! So soothing and unique!

  • Casey James

  • 27 years old

  • Fort Worth, TX

  • Great voice!! And can anyone look past his looks? Wow! Haha! He's a looker!

So there you have it, my favorites. It will be interesting to watch tomorrow night to see who gets eliminated. I hope none of my favorites end up going!

Today was a good day. I haven't had a 'bad day' in a while. So, at least it wasn't bad! All I did was go to class then came back home and do a little homework. Yep, that was my day! Haha. I'm taking advantage of these lazy days right now, because I know that once I start my major classes to become an Elementary teacher then my life is going to be soo busy!

I cannot wait until Spring. It's one of my favorite times of the year. My favorite season is Fall, but I also love Spring! I love the flowers and being able to drive with my windows down. Also, when Spring arrives, that means that my birthday is getting closer! I'm turing 21 this year, so it's a big deal. Not a big deal because I like drinking and I'm excited to be able to buy drinks, but because it's the last birthday I have to really look forward to. When I was younger, my friends and I would always talk about how we can't wait to be 21 because it will be the last year we get to really celebrate. I mean, I will always be excited once my birthday comes around after my 21st, but this one is the last one that I'm REALLY going to look forward to.

Not TOO sure what I'm going to be doing for it. Maybe go to the beach with Tony. Maybe just stay here. I do know that I'm going to be buying a few yummy fruity drinks! YUM! And I do know I will be with Tony. Everytime I go to a restaurant and look at the drinks menu I always find something that looks soo appealing, but can't get it because I'm underage! So, I will look forward to actually buying those drinks in a couple months!

Well, I'm off to watch the Real World! Yes, you guessed it, I'm a reality tv junkie!

:)

Blog Awards!

Today, Ashley from For the Love of Shoes..... and A Baby, Too gave me two awards! The first award is the Sunshine Award!

"The Sunshine Award is given to bloggers whose positivity and creativity inspire others in the blog world. I am now going to pass along the sunshine and present this award to some of my favorite bloggers who make my day "A Sunshine Day!"

I also got this award from Ashley at For the Love of Shoes..... and A Baby, Too. Thanks!! :-)

Rules: Post where you’d like to be in 10 years and then give it to 10 bloggers.

In ten years I will be 30, almost 31. I would like to be married to Tony and have a healthy marriage with him. I would like to be a stay at home mom and have 2 or 3 children running around. Also, maybe a dog and cat too. I would just like my family to be happy and healthy at this point. :-)

The ladies I'm passing these blog awards onto are:

6. Ria
10. Ashley

"Only 20"

I know you probably think that I'm this 20 year old young, immature girl who doesn't know what she wants out of life and blah blah blah. Well, I HOPE you don't think those things, but if you do let me clarify some things up. I met my boyfriend in Nov '08. At that time I really was not looking for anything serious, but I also was open to whatever. We had our first date at P.F. Changs and for some reason I was thinkin' he had no interest in me. So, I just kind of put it off and was like oh well, there are other guys in the sea. When he asked me to hang out that next weekend, I was like, "Oh! Maybe he actually does have some interest!" So we started hanging out a lot and in Dec '08 I started to develop a crush on him! But, of course I did not think things would turn out like they have! So, my feelings started growing stronger and come to find out so did his. I really really liked him and I decided that I wanted to be in a commited relationship with this guy! So, I was more ready than he was. I kept asking almost once a week 'bout when he was ready and he just kept saying "Well, I'm just not ready yet".. Mainly because he was scared to get hurt. So I waited for him. FINALLY, we became official Feb '09 and it was the best day of my life thus far. The next best day was a month later when we told each other we loved each other.

Anyway, I knew from the day we said we loved each other that he was 'the one'. You are probably thinking about this 20 year old girl thinks this guy she's been dating for a year is 'the one'. I just know. You can't really explain how you know, you just do. He is everything I look for. His parents really raised him right, and I'm SO blessed. I also know he is going to be a great father one day by the way I see him with his niece.

I guess I just had to get that stuff off my chest. Some people think that at 20 years old you should be out partying and dating as many guys as possible. Not me. Nope. I'm just not 'that girl'. Some may say, but you're "only 20". Who says you can't be in love and know that the guy you're with is 'the one' at 20 years old? There is no age limit on anything. No one specifically says you have to graduate college at 22, get married at 26 and have children at 30. Society makes that out to be, but it's not true. I'm ready to get married next year if Tony proposed this year. I know that he is not proposing this year, because he's gotta save up first. ;-) But, what I'm basically trying to say is that when you're ready, you're ready. Although, ever since I was a little girl, I always wanted to be married at 23, I can wait if I had to. Because I know that I will be Tony for the rest of my life, it's just a matter of when we make it legal. It's all in God's hands. It's all on His time.

So, what I'm trying to say is I'm not your average 20 year old. I don't want to go out partying every night, and wake up the next morning with a hangover. I don't wanna date one guy for 6 months, then move onto another. That's not me. I found the man for me.

I'm not sure where this post came from.. Haha! It's just a lot of people are getting married that are 20-22 and I say go for it! If you're ready, then walk down that aisle! More power to ya! :-)

Ten on Tuesday

1. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Cake Batter from Coldstone! :-)

2. What is your earliest memory?
Probably the lake house my parents had when I was born to about 5 years old. I remember going there and going out on our boat with my cousin and uncle and aunt.

3. What is your earliest memory of a dessert?
I dunno. I started baking really early in life. Probably cookies or brownies.

4. Do you have any recurring dreams?
Nope.

5. Have you ever dreamed about dessert?
Haha. I don't think so!

6. What is one thing (aside from a cell phone or computer) that you cannot go the entire day without?
Talking to Tony!

7. What is one dessert you could go your entire life without ever having again?
Oh wow, if you know me, then you know I basically love ANY dessert, so this is a tough question. But, if I just HAD to choose, then I guess I could live without anything that has fruit in it. Not a big fan of fruit in my dessert!

8. If you could go on vacation tomorrow, where would you go? (Assume someone else is footing the bill, but within reason…so "the moon" won't work)
Italy!

9. If you could have any dessert tomorrow, what would you have (assume someone else is buying it for you. Within reason though, no "gold sprinkled ice cream cones.")
Cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory! Yum!

10. What was your first impression of your significant other? If you're single, what was your first impression of your best friend?
Well, from a far it was his height... He's shorter than the other guys I've dated before. But, once I get up close, it was definitely his blue eyes!

Music Monday!

So I've been reading on other's blogs that Monday is music Monday where you post one of your favorite songs or a song you really enjoy listening to! One of my favorite songs is called "Mama's Song" by Carrie Underwood. It's about a mother and a daughter and how the daughter found a really great man who treats her like a princess and how a woman is supposed to be treated. She is letting her mother know that she taught her all the right things and now it's time for her mother to give her away to this man. It's such a sweet song! Whenever I hear it, I automatically think about my boyfriend. He treats me the way a woman is supposed to be treated. He is so very good to me! And I don't want my mother to worry about me once we get married! So, this is a perfect song for the time of my life that I'm at right now!

Spring is in the Air!

Today was such a beautiful day! Tony and I decided to meet up at 1 PM to go to Honda Carland to check out the Civic we saw online! It opened at 1:00, so we wanted to be the first people there so no one else could steal his car! :-P We were the first ones there and found the Civic! Come to find out, it was actually priced $5,000 lower online that it actually was! Someone made a mistake and posted it for the wrong price online! So, since they HAVE to sell it for the price it was online, Tony got a GREAT deal! He decided to buy it! He would save about $55 on car payments and around $67 on gas a month! This is huge! Since his Explorer ate up gas!

It took 2 hrs to finally close the deal, but it was ok because it was well worth it! Tony needed a more fuel efficient car because he drives to Alpharetta from Kennesaw 5 days a week for work! That's 40 miles a day! Tony is moving to Alpharetta in May once his lease is up at his apartment now, so he can be closer to work. Where he is wanting to move is basically 2 miles away from work, and 2 miles and 3 minutes away from me!!! I'm more than excited that the love of my life is going to be just a few minutes down the street! Literally! Ahh! Only 3 more months! So, back to the car. Once he moves to Alpharetta, he will be saving a ton of money because instead of having to drive 40 miles to work, 5 times a week, it will only be about 4 miles! AWESOME!

I'm so very excited for him! After he bought the car, we decided to head to Kroger so I can get somethin' for my mom. I was lovin' the way the car rides! That's all I have done today! Pretty successful day, to say the least! Tomorrow is Monday again, the weekends always go by so fast! But, it's ok! I'm just glad I only go to school twice a week! I'm taking one class on campus and 5 online! Crazy you might think?! Neh, it's not as bad as you think. I love online classes. Too bad once I get into my major classes, I won't be taking 'em online anymore. Oh well!

Tony's old car - 2006 Ford Explorer

Tony's new car! :-) 2008 Honda Civic

Desperate Housewives tonight and Keeping Up With the Kardashians! Two of the many shows I watch a week! :-P

Have a great rest of the night!

Lovin' Saturdays

Saturdays used to be a day that I would cherish, only for the reason that it was one out of two days where I could sleep in. But now I cherish it because I get to spend all day with Tony! Tony and I decided to go look at this Honda Civic out in Buford at the Honda Mall of Georgia that was a really good price! So I met him at his apartment at 12 PM and we headed out around 1 PM, thinking it was early enough that the Civic wouldn't be gone. Well, come to find out, everyone likes to be out and about on Saturdays so we hit some traffic which put us back probably about 20 minutes. We got to the dealership and come to find out 30 min earlier someone already bought the car! We were both disappointed! So, we left there, and we were starving so we decided to stop at this mexican place called La Cazuela. We got some chips and salsa and Tony got some enchiladas and I got some carnitas. It was a pretty good place.

Then we headed back to Tony's place and got online and started looking at more Honda Civic's around the area. We found one that we liked that is at Honda Carland out in Alpharetta, so we are going to go look at it tomorrow. It's a coupe and pretty nice! Hopefully it will still be there tomorrow!

Today was a great day overall! Not looking forward to tomorrow and next week because of school. ERG! Oh well.. Gotta do what you gotta do!

Friday, February 19, 2010

Finally Friday!

It's finally Friday, people! This week actually went by pretty fast compared to last week, which was draggin' along. Today I did the usual for the first part of the day, which was workout and spend lunch break with Tony. Then, I left at 6 PM to go to Tony's apartment. We decided to stay in and figure out which dealerships we are going to visit tomorrow. He is trading in his Explorer for a more fuel efficient car. Trying to save some money! So, he is thinking of getting a new Honda Civic. We found one online for a great price with low mileage! So we are going to take a look at it tomorrow! Hopefully someone has not already snatched it up! So, that is basically all we did tonight.. and watch some of the Olympics.

I can't believe there is one more week of February! Where has the time gone? Just yesterday I was sitting at Indigo (Tony's sister's restaurant) eating great food with Tony for New Years Eve! Crazy how time flies when you're having fun! ;-P

Next Saturday Tony, his sister Ashley, and me are headed up to Myrtle Beach just for 1 night to celebrate Tony's niece, Madison's, 1st birthday! It's a big deal and I can't wait to celebrate! We are going to head out around 9AM Saturday morning to hopefully get there around 3-3:30 PM in time for the party! We're gonna stay at a condo that Tony's wonderful parent's are getting, with his parents and Ashley. It will be a short trip, but fun nonetheless. We are gonna come back to ATL Sunday morning after Madions's christening! We aren't going up there to lay on the beach, since it will be cold obviously. But, we will probably go up there again once summer hits.

So, I'm very excited that I have finally found out what I wanna do with my life. Being an Elementary School Teacher will be so rewarding! I cannot wait! :-) Took me long enough to figure it out! So, since Tony's other sister (he has three sisters btw), April, is an Elementary Teacher, then there will be two teachers in the family! That is, if we get married! ;-)  Hopefully I will graduate in May 2012 or December 2012! That is what I'm planning on! We will see! There is no time limit that I must graduate, but I'd like to graduate on those times so that way I can have a job faster and start making that dough!

Well, off to bed I go! It's been a LONG day! NIGHT!

Love makes the world go 'round

Well, today was kind of a boring day.. Didn't do much AT ALL! I woke up and did my regular routine of working out and watching The Doctor's or The Dr. Oz Show. Then, of course, Tony came over on his lunch break and we chatted it up. Then when he left I did 30 minutes of school work, then decided I was done for the day! HA! I basically watched t.v. all day long, while surfing the web! Oh, what a life! :-P Like I said in an earlier post, I'm taking advantage of it now because someday when I have children, I won't be able to sleep in anymore and I will be busy all day long. But, it will be worth it! :-)

After I layed around the house all day, I left to go to Tony's place for a couple hours to hang out with him before he had to go to sleep. I hate leaving him, though. Can't wait until I get to sleep next to him EVERY night! He makes me so incredibly happy.. I now realize all you really need is love! It makes the world go 'round!

Recently, I've been searching the web for a healthy smoothie recipe to start making! Preferably with fruit! I haven't really found any good ones so if you guys know if a good one, let a girl know? :)

Meanwhile, I will be searching the web! Tomorrow is FRIDAY! Which means.. WEEKEND! :) Goodnight everyone!

Wordless Wednesday/Recipe

Apparently Wednesday's are "Wordless Wednesdays" where you post a pic with no words to go with it!

Also, since I love cooking/baking,  I decided to post a delicious recipe that ya'll might like to try sometime! I used to eat this a lot when I was younger, and I had it last night and it was still as good as I remember it! Also, this is one of the very, very few times I will eat broccoli! I'm usually not a huge fan!

Broccoli, Cheese and Rice Casserole

Ingredients

  • 3 cups white rice (depending on how thick you want it)

  • 2 cans of Mushroom, or the equivalent amount of fresh

  • 2 cans of mushroom soup

  • 1 Velveeta cheese

  • 1 large bag of frozen Broccoli

Directions

1.Start out by combining the mushrooms, mushroom soup, and Velveeta in a saucepan and cooking on low heat. Be sure you cube your Velveeta. Stir often

2.Boil and cook your white rice.

3.Heat and prepare your broccoli. ( I chop them up pretty good)

4.Lay the rice at the bottom of a baking dish

5.Sprinkle your Broccoli over rice

6.After all your cheese is melted, evenly distribute the mix over the top of your rice and broccoli.

7.Place in the oven on 350 degrees for about 30 - 45 minutes

8.Allow time to cool

9. ENJOY!

Ten on Tuesday

Lately I've seen people post a survey of 10 questions of Tuesday's called "Ten on Tuesday", so I decided to do one!

1. If you could open any type of store/place of business (money is no obstacle), what would you open? A college bakery. I would have cookies, cakes, cupcakes, pies, etc., and I would put college logos on them!

2. If all jobs paid equally, what occupation would you want? Why? A stay-at-home mom. Because that is the best job in the world!

3. If you could be any animal in the world, what would you pick? Why? Hmm.. Monkey, probably. They get to climb all over everything!

4. If offered one “service” free of charge, which would you choose? (chauffeur, maid, personal shopper, chef, etc.) ? Maid! Or chef.. That is a tough one!

5. What is one habit, no matter how hard you try, you just can’t seem to break? Biting my nails! Erg!

6. What is one thing that no matter how many you own, you still love to buy all the time? Purses!

7. Out of all the game shows (past and present), which would you want to be a participant on and play? Who Wants To Be a Millionare! I always seem to know all the answers to the questions! Ha!

8. If you could play the lead role in any movie that’s already been made, which movie would you pick? Oh wow.. That's tough.. Probably Allie in The Notebook.

9. Name 5 things on your bucket list (things you want to do before you die). Become a wife, become a mother, become a grandmother, travel to every country in the Caribbean, learn to cook really well, and learn photography.

10. Which one of your birthdays was the best? What did you do that day? My 20th by far. I was with the love of my life! What could be better than that? We went out to dinner and dessert and it was perfect!

Just Another Wonderful Monday

I used to HATE Monday's, but now I actually don't despise them anymore. When I was in high school, I used to wake up at 7:30 AM for school and I would look forward to the weekends because I got to sleep in until 12 PM! So, when Sunday night rolled around, I got depressed that the weekend was ending and that the dreaded Monday was coming back around, because I knew I had to wake up at 7:30 again. Now, since I'm in college and I get to make my own schedule for school, I usually wake up anywhere from 9:30-11 AM! I know that someday when I have kids, that will all change, so right now I'm taking advantage of it! ;-)

Today was a great day! Woke up at 9:30, ate breakfast, worked out, and waited for Tony to come over. After he left to go back to work, I left to go to Starbucks to meet up with my good friend, Mary. We caught up and drank some yummy coffee! Since I'm trying to stay on the healthier side, I got a tall, Skinny Cinnamon Dolce Latte. It has non-fat milk and sugar-free cinnamon dulce syrup. It was delcious! Then we were off to class!

Speaking of school, I believe I had FINALLY figured out what I am going to do for a career. I want to be an Elementary Teacher. I would love to teach 3rd or 4th grade. I worked with kids for 2 years and I love it! It makes me so happy to make children happy and I would love to influence their lives! I think Fulton county or Cobb county would be a great district to work in. So, since Kennesaw State University has a great Teacher program, I will be going there. Tony's sister, April, went there and she said it was great!

Tonight, after class, I headed over to my dad's house for dinner. Since my parents are divorced, my dad has his own house and lives about 10 minutes away. I go over there every single Sunday for dinner, but on this past Sunday he was out of town, so we decided to make up for it by having dinner tonight. He made his usual white rice with chicken and veggies. It was great! Then came home, did a little homework, watched The Bachelor ( I hope he picks Tenley!) and now here I am, blogging! :-) What an eventful day!

Happy 1 Year & Valentine's!

A year goes by SO fast. I guess I will tell ya'll how Tony and I became boyfriend and girlfriend. This time last year, Tony and I were getting ready for our fancy dinner date at his sister Ashley's restaurant, Indigo! We ordered really yummy food and were so happy to be together on Valentine's Day. Little did I know what was to come! That night driving home, Tony and I couldn't stop texting about how much fun we had that night. I told him that I was ready to be his girlfriend whenever he was (because I was waiting on him) and he then said, "I'm ready! Be my girlfriend?" in his text. So I was SO excited that went I got home I changed my facebook status to in a relationship and it was official!

In the past I was scared of commitment, but when I met Tony and got to know him, I knew he was different. I knew that this would be a different kind of relationship that would last. I knew that it wouldn't just be some "fling". That was the main reason why I was so thrilled to be called his girlfriend! We have expeirenced so many things together and have made so many memories! I can't wait to see what the coming years have to hold! Yes, I said years! Meaning, I believe with all my heart and soul that he is "the one". When I look to date someone, it's not just for fun. I'm looking for my life partner, not someone to waste time with. So, Tony and I have such a great relationship that I just know we can last. We are best friends.

So, in celebration of our 1 year anniversary, he told me his was taking me to dinner, but he would not say where! I had a few places that it could have been, but I still wasn't 100% sure. To show Tony my love and to celebrate this amazing milestone, I baked him red velvet cupcakes ( since red velvet is his favorite type of cake) and I wrote him a "50 Reasons Why I Love You" letter. I also typed out lyrics to "My Best Friend" by Tim McGraw because I believed it described our relationship perfectly! I also got him a really sweet, romantic card and a box full of Hershey Caramel Kisses!

For his part, he told me to wait in the living room of his apartment while he brought out a really pretty bag that said "Happy Valentine's Day", since we did a joint celebration of our anniversary and V-day. So then I looked inside and pulled out the cutest stuffed frog that said "Love You" on it! We named him "Bruce". Haha! Last year, Tony got me a small stuffed red and white puppy, so this year he decided on a frog. I think it's going to be a tradition to get some sort of stuffed animal every year? Haha! Anyways, then I look inside again and found a card. It was so sweet and Tony had written his own sweet words in it too! Then I looked back into the bag and there was chocolates! SUGAR FREE chocolates! I was thrilled! I looked back into the bag and was like well, nothing left! Then Tony told me he'd be right back and reappeared 5 seconds later with beautiful flowers! What a sweet boyfriend I have! Then he said our reservations were at 7:30, so we decided to leave at 6:45 to give us enough time to get there.

On the way there, Tony went a different way then the way we usually go and I had a feeling we were going to Indigo. I was a little disappointed just because we went there New Year's Eve and last Valentine's Day and I wanted to go somewhere different ( even though I love Indigo and seeing Ashley!). He pulled into the parking lot and I was a little upset. I kept saying things like "again?!" and "seriously?!", but then he said "just kidding" and laughed his head off because I was getting mad! Haha. Ohh boy! Then we pulled out of there and headed toward our destination. I knew where we were going as soon as he turned onto 92. We ended up going to Brookwood Grill! The food is so great, and I've wanted to go there since the summer, and he remembered!

I ordered a diet coke and chicken and vegetable soup, and he ordered a water, salad, smoked gouda mac & cheese, and french onion soup! Our meals were delicious and the service was great! In the middle of our meal, though, a lady screamed, "we need a doctor!" and everyone got nervous and someone called 911 and they were there in just a couple minutes! We are not sure what happend but we heard that she was ok!

What a great night I had with the most amazing person! It was the perfect Valentine's Day and 1 year anniversary! I can't wait to spend maaaany more with him!

Snow Day and TGIF!

Snow isn't really something we get a LOT of here in Georgia, but when we get it it's nice. It has snowed about 3 inches here in Alpharetta, and it is expected to snow 4 inches altogether! That's a big deal for metro atlanta! It's so beautiful!

This my backyard towards the beginning of the snow fall!

Today was a great day! TGIF! I woke up and checked all my emails and then worked out. Tony then came over for lunch break and we talked and watched some Dr. Oz until he had to go back to work, which is always a sad thing. I hate saying goodbye to him. :-( Then I got ready and headed out to buy some Valentine's Day gifts for Tony! I can't say what they are, but I will post what they are once I give them to him!

Then I came home and got pretty to go see my man! I then drove to Kennesaw in a little bit of traffic. Now I'm posting since he is at the gym getting sexy for me! Haha! No but really, I am a little bored now that he is working those guns, so why not post? I can't believe Valentine's Day is already 2 days away! Where has the past year gone?! I can't wait to see what Tony has planned.. He said it's a surprise! So I have to wait and see! I'm sure it's going to be amazing though! Our 1 year Anniversary is Sunday also! 2 in 1 kind of deal! ;-)
We are celebrating Valentines Day and our 1 year anniversary Saturday night because Tony has to get up really early Monday morning. But, that's ok with me! As long as we celebrate! :P

Tonight Tony and I are going to stay in and cuddle on the couch! It's one of those days! It's gloomy and wet outside, so why not? Tomorrow is when the fun begins!

Have a safe Friday everyone!

I thought this was SO funny and cute!

Lazy Days!

So today I did a whole lot of...nothing! I was supposed to be doing a little studyin' since I didn't have class and then run some errands for Valentine's Day, but I just could not find the energy! So, as a procrastinator, I put it off until tomorrow.. I know, I know. But I WILL get them done! I have to! If you REALLY wanna know what I did today, I guess I could share! I woke up around 10AM and watched The Doctors while I ate some low carb pasta with chicken. Yes, I said LOW CARB PASTA for all of you who didn't know there was a such thing! Anyways, back to The Doctors..What an awesome show! They teach you SO many things that you never would of thought about!

Back to my day..After I ate I did my daily workout routine and then waited around for Tony to come over on his lunch break! After he came over and hung out for 30 min, I got pretty sad because I don't get to see him every single day like I'd want and I don't get to sleep next to him... Yet! So, then I browsed the web for a good hour! Reading other people's blogs and seeing what they are up to. Then I headed over to Tony's apartment in Kennesaw (which is 45 min away) and we cuddled and watched t.v. together. :-) Now I'm on here writing down my thoughts. Lazy days like these make me wish I had children.. Just so they can keep me on my toes! One day! A girl can dream, right?

Here is the low carb pasta I mentioned! 5 g of carbs a serving! For those of you who are seeking to lose weight and want to try the low carb route, or if you are just wanting to watch your carb intake, this is PERFECT!

First Things First!

So, I'm a little new to this, but not really. I had a "blog" when I was in high school on Xanga, but this is more of a 'mature' blog website I guess you could say. Where to start? Well, I currently live in Alpharetta, GA with my mother and a house full of animals. Yeah, 2 dogs and 6 cats! I'm 20 year old and attending Georgia Perimeter College University. It's a community college, which means I was too lazy in high school to actually care enough to put in enough effort to try and get into a University here in Georgia. So, as a result, I'm at GA Perimeter trying to figure out what I want to do with my life.

On another note, I have an AMAZING, caring, thoughtful, sexy, sensitive, remarkable boyfriend , Tony. We have been together almost a year ( it will be a year on Feb 14) and he has all the qualities I have looked for in my 'dream man'. I'm sure you will read a LOT about him in this blog. What else? I have an amazing family who has always been there for me, even if sometimes I complain about 'em. I wanted to create a blog to have a place to write down my thoughts and keep memories stored away so look back on one day! This is the conclusion of my first post and I hope I get some people who will actually care enough about my life to read about it! I will be surprised if more than 1 person reads this!
