Happy 23rd!

Today is my brother's 23rd birthday!

I seriously cannot believe he's 23!

I remember his 10th birthday like it was yesterday and how it was such a big deal! Haha!

Growing up, my brother was my best friend and still is!

I have always looked up to him.

We used to play games together, like the "blanket game" where he had this ninja turtles blanket and we would get under it and walk around and try to guess where we were.

Yeah, we were nerds. And still kinda are. ;)

We used to do everything together.

I still have home videos that we video taped together of each other doing the most silly things and pretending we were news anchors!

Those are some of the most amazing times in my life and I do not know where I would be without him.

He still is the funniest person I know and he is still always making me laugh.

We have the same kind of sense of humor and we have inside jokes that NOONE else would get.

I haven't lived with him for about 6 years and I miss it sometimes.

He lives with my dad, while I live with my mom, and I only see him about twice a week which saddens me sometimes just because I used to see him everyday.

Everytime one of his friends meets me, they always say that we are just alike.

That we have the same personalities and are both so goofy.

Everytime I hear these things I get sooo happy.

There's noone else I'd rather be told I remind them of!

My brother is amazing and life without him would be boring.

We're celebraing on Sunday even though his birthday is today.

I can't wait.

Happy birthday big bro!

My bro on the left, my Nana, then my cousin

Me and my bro back in July at our family reunion. I heart this pic.

My brother when he was a baby. Maybe like 6 months old?
Me and my brother when I was about 2 and he was 3. Sorry about the quality of the pictures. I had to actually take a picture of the picture.

Me and my brother being goofy like always. I was probably 3 or 4 and he was either 4 or 5.

Happy Birthday!!! I love you big brother and I can't wait to celebrate on Sunday!! :)

Oops. So Sorry!

Ahhh! It's almost been a week since I've written!

No lie, I've been SO busy with school.

Studying like crazy of course.

Oh, and all of my favorite shows came on last week, so that's another reason. ;)

Today is SUNDAY which means it's weigh in day!

*Drum Roll*

I lost 2 lbs this week!

That's 5.4 lbs in 2 weeks!

But for the week coming up, I'm ready to lose at 2 lbs again!

Bring it on! :)

4.6 lbs left to go!!

I can do this! ;)

Please Stand Up to the Scale

Well, today is weigh in day and this week I did pretty good.

I ate all of the right things and I worked out like I was supposed to!

I lost 3.4 lbs this week!

I know it's mostly water, but it's something, right?!?

I know that the first week you always lose the most weight, and then the weeks after it's different, but I'm just glad I lost this much!

Now, onto the 2nd week and hopefully I can lose just as much! ;)

Thanks for all your encouragement, guys!

Now I'm off to study alllll day for classes.

UGH.

Have a great Sunday!

So far so good...

Well, today is day 3 of my low carb diet and circuit training routine.

And so far so good!

I haven't cheated, nor do I plan to, and I'm feeling good!

Because I've done this before, it's a little easier this go around than it was when I first did last year.

I can't wait to be AT LEAST 10 lbs down!

I say at least because I MAY want to go for 15 or somewhere between 10 and 15.

But most likely I will just lose 10 lbs and stick there.

Now, I do know that by next summer, I wanna be a lot more toned.

But I'm not going to start that up until January, probably.

Is anyone else excited that Fall is around the corner?!?

I LOVE Fall!

:)

Today I have Chemistry Lab.

Just shoot me.

Have a great Wednesday!

Monday, September 13, 2010

Today is the Day!

I start my journey to losing 10 lbs - 15 lbs!

I honestly am pumped about it!

I will be eating a maximum of 20 carbs a day, lots of protein, lots of veggies.

No sugar.

I've done it before, so I know I can do it again.

And this time it's only 10 lbs! Maybe 15.

If you didn't already know, I lost 40 lbs last year by doing the low carb diet with a circuit training routine.

Now I've decided I just wanna shed those last 10-15 lbs off and I will be good to go.

So, we'll see how this pans out!

Monday, Tues, Thurs, and Fri I will be doing a circuit routine, while Wednesday and Saturday I will be doing the 30 Day Shred.

Sunday is my rest day of course.

So far, so good.

Like I said on my earlier post, I will be weighing in on Sundays and letting y'all know how much I lost that week!

I also measured my waist and hips, so I'll let you know if I lost anything from there too!

I'm excited!

Bring it on! :)

Friday, September 10, 2010

So...

Back in May, I said that I was going to lose 10-15 lbs.

And well, honestly, it never happened because I just wasn't motivated enough.

I didn't have the drive to do it at the time.

Well, I'm going to try this for the second time!

Starting on Monday.

I want to lose 10-15 lbs!

We'll see how it goes.

I'm ready ready ready!

I will be weighing in every Sunday morning and I'll let y'all know how it goes!!

:)

Five Question Friday!

1. Do you feel guilty spending money on yourself?
No way! When I have extra money to spend I always treat myself!

2. How well do you know your neighbors?

Well enough, I guess. My next door neighbor is CRAZY and I don't even want to go into detaisl why. He's sick. The neighbor across the street is my friend! I love her. :)

3. What age are you looking forward to being?

None! I just want to stay 21 forever!

4. Do you get excited when the mail comes? Why?

Not really. I never get anything exciting in the mail except for Holidays!

5. What is your earliest childhood memory?

Going to our lake house in Olathe, Kansas. My cousin and aunt and uncle got a lake house literally on the same street, so me, my mom, my dad, and my brother would go to the lake house like every weekend in the summer until I was about 6 and we'd always meet my cousin up there. Fun times.

I heart Fall.

Is anyone else as excited about Fall as I am?!?

Fall is my favorite season of the year and each time it comes around I get so giddy.

It's just something about that crispness in the air.

Ever since I can remember, I've always wanted my wedding to be in the fall too.

Preferably September or October. :)

Here are a few things I just adore about Fall.

Fall decor. I love Fall decorations. Enough said.

Leaves changing. I get so excited once the leaves start changing because I know fall is right around the corner. And plus, it's just gorgeous!

The food. In the fall I always make my famous Pumpkin Cheesecake. It's to die for. Plus, I just love "fall food" in general. Apple cobbler, Thanksgiving foods, Pecan pie, Soups, Stews, Roasts, Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin bread (okay, anything with pumpkin).

Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate from Starbucks. This has been my favorite drink that Starbucks has ever had and of course it's seasonal, and I'm hoping and praying they bring it back this season!! Mmmmmm.

College Football. Preferably UGA and Bama.

Ahh I just love everything about Fall!

Especially the holidays.

My family are the most important people in my life, and when we are together, I just become so happy.

I'm the happiest once Fall rolls around.

I heart it.

Oh dear.

I'm.obsessed.

Myrtle Beach

Sorry for not updating about my trip to Myrtle Beach.

I've been pretty busy this week with school stuff.

Myrtle Beach was SO fun.

Tony and I went at the same time last year, too, and it was just as fun.

Tony came and picked me up last Thursday around 3:10 PM and then we stopped by the gas station to fill up and of course get some food.

We both got a tendergrill chicken sandwich from Burger King and Tony got some chips from the gas station.

We got on the highway at 3:50 and we were off.

Of course, since we live in Atlanta, we were bound to hit some traffic.

We sat in traffic for about an hour.

It sucked.

I drove the first half so Tony could study.

He drove the second half so I could attempt to  study.

Yeah that didn't work out too well considering I got car sick if I look down for more than a minute or read.

Blek.

So we finally get in around 10:45 PM and everyone is asleep and we get ready for bed and hit the sack!

Friday we got up early so we could have enough time to see Tony's niece, Madison, before we head out for the day.

Can I just say that Madison is the cutest little girl you ever did see?

Her hair is SO curly and noone can tell why since her father's hair wasn't that curly and her mother's hair was a little curly but that not like that.

She's so funny, too.

She makes the funniest expressions and sounds.

She well say "doo" for "no" and "tay" for "k".

Tony and I are pretty much in love with this girl and wanted to take her home.

Oh, and she will say "up, pweaz" when she wants to be held.

On Friday we headed out around 1:30 PM to Bald Head Island.

I LOVE this island and so does Tony.

It's so neat.

The only way to get to this island is by a ferry.

There are no cars on the island. The only way to get around is by golf cart!

There are BEAUTIFUL houses here.

*These are pictures from last year, because unfortunately, I forgot my camera and had to use my phone for pictures this year. :(*

So, when we got here, we rented our golf cart and went to go eat.

My hair isn't wet because we swam in the ocean, nope, it's wet beacuse while we were riding the ferry over, we hit a huge wave which came onto the ferry splashing everyone!

There are only two restaurants on the island, and a market.

After we ate, we drove around for a little while, and then went to the beach!

It was beautiful.

This island is awesome because it has sooo many trees everywhere. Plus, it has a marsh, and a beach.

It's great.

So, while we were driving around on our golf cart, we saw a fox!

We decided to get up real close and feed him some leftovers from our lunch, which was hushpuppies!

Here he is.

We threw out a hushpuppie and he snagged it up and ran into the woods.

We also saw a deer!

We left the island around 9:30 and got back to Tony's sister's house and went to sleep.

The next morning, we got up, and relaxed for a bit.

Maddy was up playing and running around.

Oh by the way, she's 18 months old, for anyone who was wondering. Ha.

Tony's sister put one of her work shirts on her, which looks like a dress, and we all couldn't stop laughing cause she looked like a backup singer.

She looks like such a little diva in that picture.

Gotta love those curls, too.

Saturday we watched some football and hung out for a little while around the house.

Saturday night, Tony and I went out for sushi.

His sister couldn't go because she had to watch Madison, and his brother-in-law, Ryan, had to work.

After dinner, we went and walked around this strip mall type thing called Barefoot Landing.

It had all kinds of cool stuff.

Shops, candy shops, bakeries, restaurants, magic shops.

Everything.

There were even tigers and tiger cubs in a cage that people could watch!

How cool.

We got some cookies and cream ice cream, too, and it was a great night.

Sunday we went to the beach with April and Ryan and Madison.

Here is April and Maddy playing in the ocean. Maddy LOVES the ocean and got knocked down a couple times by the waves and it didn't even bother her!

Oh, by the way, April looks AMAZING for having a baby 18 months ago. She has such a great body! It could help that she eats really healthy, too, though. Haha. I only hope to look that good after having a baby.

Don't you just wanna eat her up?

So we stayed at the beach for a couple hours and then headed back to their house to get cleaned up because Tony's parents were coming into town that night.

They arrived around 6 PM and we headed out to eat some seafood.

I just love his family.

I can't say it enough!

Monday was the day we left.

Before we left, though, Maddy had this balloon that her daddy gave her, and she was playing with it and it floated up to the ceiling.

So Tony, being the amazing uncle he is, got out a ladder and got it down.

As you can see, Maddy was right behind him!

I just looove this photo.

We had such a fun time in Myrtle Beach!

It always goes by too fast, but we are looking forward to the next time we will be up there again!

On the way home, with our luck, we got stuck in about 2 hours of traffic.

Of course.

But it so fun.

I highly recommend anyone going there!

September? Really? And 30DBJ

It's ALREADY September?

I can't believe how quickly this year is going by!

Before you know it Christmas is going to be here!

So, yesterday for Tony's birthday I took him to IHOP for breakfast and we both got pancakes, eggs, and sausage!

It was yuuummy.

Then last night Tony's parents took us out to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory!!

I LOVE the Cheesecake Factory. It's one of my favorite restaurants, for obvious reasons (cheesecake).

Their dinners are pretty good too!

I got the Chicken Fettucini! It was the best I've ever had!!

I just adore Tony's parents so I was so happy that we were able to spend time with them last night.

We were at the restaurant for 2 hours just enjoying each other and talking!

We decided we couldn't leave the CHEESECAKE Factory without getting cheesecake.

So Tony and I shared a slice of the Reeses Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake.

Oh my gosh.

It was reallllly good, but SO rich!

Tony's parents got the Ultimate Red Velet Cheesecake!!

Tony and I tried this one on my birthday and it is to.die.for.

OMG.

It was very fun to be celebrating Tony's birthday with his family.

I just love them.

On another note, I forgot to do Day 28 of the 30DBJ yesterday.

So I'm going to day day 28 and 29 today.

Day 28: Whats in my purse

Well, I would take a picture, but my camera is currently dead.

I need to charge it!

So I will just tell you.

- Sunglasses
- Wallet
- Black Amethyst Lotion from Bath and Body Works
- Hair brush
- Pencil/pen/highlighter bag
- Perfume
- Camera
- Hand sanitizer
- Gum
- Bobby pins
- Aleve
- 4 lipglosses
- Camera charger
- Mirror

SO interesting, right? ;)

HAHA.

Day 29: Hopes, dreams, and plans for the next 365 days

Well I really do not have much going on for the next couple months.

I'm not sure what I'm doing for the holidays yet, except I know that I'm going up to Kansas City to visit family for Christmas.

In November Tony and I will have know each other for 2  years.

Wow.

I hope that I make good grades this semester and finish my last semester off right at my community college.

In January I will be attending Kennesaw State University, and I'm excited and nervous at the same time.

In February of next year, Tony and I will be celebrating our 2 year anniversary.

I hope that our relationship keeps getting stronger and that we continue to laugh with each other.

In May I will be turning 22.

Whoa. That's weird to say.

I will also be finishing my first semester at Kennesaw and hopefully will be finishing it up with good grades.

Also, my brother graduates college, which is a huge step, and my stepsister graduates high school.

I cannot wait to go to both of these graduations.

Let's just say lots of tears are going to be shed.

Next summer is going to be a REALLY busy summer.

My stepmom and stepbrother are moving down here which will be a BIG move.

I'm pretty sure me and my family will be going back to Fort Myers next summer which I'm REALLLLLLY excited about.

Also, Tony will be graduating with his MBA next summer!

That's a HUGE step.

So, the next 365 days look promising.

Well, I've also decided I'm going to do day 30, since I leave for the beach tomorrow and today I have to STUDY STUDY STUDY ALL day.

So I won't have anytime today or tomorrow.

So here goes.

Day 30: A dream for the future

Well, obviously I want to be happy and healthy.

But my dream for the future is to graduate college, become a nurse, get married, and become a mother.

These have ALWAYS been my dreams.

I cannot wait to live them out. :)

So, there ya have it.

This 30 Day Blog Journal was a TON of fun!

Now what am I going to blog about?!?

Haha.

Tomorrow we leave at 3 PM to head to the beach.

So, I will update when I get back!

I come back Monday, but I have two tests on Tuesday so right when I get back from vacay I gotta STUDY! Ugh!

So I'll update ya on Tuesday!

Have a great Labor Day weekend!!
