It's been a 'lil while...

since I last posted.

I talked about how Tony's uncle died of cancer and that his funeral was Friday @ 3PM.

So we headed out around 1ish and drove out about an hour and a half to a city in Georgia called Rome.

It was pouring and Tony had to drive a little faster than normal so we didn't miss it!

We finally got there about 10 minutes before the funeral was about to start.

He had a ton of family and family friends there.

It was very, very sad.

I have never been to a funeral before, so I didn't know what to expect.

I even started to tear up because everyone was crying and how could you not cry at a funeral?

After, we went and ate some dinner at a church.

It was good to see Tony's family, but the circumstance sucked. :(

Tony's sister, her husband, and her 15 mo. old daughter even came, even though they live 6 hrs away!

Tony and I were very happy to be able to see his niece, Madison. She's such a delight!

We headed back to his parents house afterwards to visit with him family. I love being with them.

Saturday morning at 8:30, Tony and I headed to his parent's house to visit with his sister, her husband, and their daughter before they had to leave!

Then we headaed to the Sprint store (because I'm indecisive) to look at another phone. I've decided I don't really like my current one that I got 2 weeks ago and want to trade it back in!

So, I'm getting this bad boy..

It's a Sprint HTC Hero. I like it a lot.

So I will be going back and returning my Palm Pre and getting the Hero sometime this week!

Sunday was spent relaxing, of course.

Today my two classes started!

Ughh.

At least they are online. I've always done better with online classes.

They are half semester, which means they are 3 weeks long, so there is going to be a TON of work to do.

We will see how it goes.

So if I'm not blogging as much as I usually do in the next 3 weeks, it's because of school.

This will be me for the next 3 weeks.

Last night while I was laying in bed, trying to fall asleep, I had a lot of thoughts running through my head.

One of 'em being that I miss the days when I was my stepsister's age. She just turned 17 a month ago and I was thinking "oh how I miss those days".

I miss not having a care in the world.

Although, I have a fabulous life right now, sometimes I wish I had a time machine and could re-live those days for like a week!

I remember back in those days how I couldn't wait to turn 21 and I wish it could just hurry up!

May 18, 2010. R.I.P.

Tuesday, May 18th, 2010, Tony's Uncle Tommy passed away. He had bone cancer and I think about 2 months ago he was given 2 weeks to live.

He was in a HUGE deal of pain, and now he's in a better place with no pain at all.

His funeral is tomorrow at 3PM and Tony and I will be leaving around 12:30ish or so to head up there.

What we have to remember is that he is in a much better place, in no pain, and he is HOME.

This song by Carrie Underwood just reminds me that Earth is our temporary home and that we are not truly home until we meet our maker and "this is just a stop on that way to where we're going".

Thankful Thursday

Today is Thursday - which means it's Thankful Thursday!

-Summertime.

It's just something about summer that makes me so happy.

- This man:

- My family. We are having a reunion on July 2nd with my dad's side of the family and I'm really really excited. I get to see family that I haven't seen in 4 1/2 years!

- I'm thankful to be ALIVE!

Wishful Wednesday/Thursday

So yesterday I forgot to do Wishful Wednesday! Ugh. How wrong of me! So now I'm going to participate in Wishful Wednesday:

of the 30 Day Shred is hell. Oh jeeeez. It's haaard. Especially if you do the advanced versions of the exercises. Woooeee.

Weigh in SUNDAY

Today is SUNNDAY and you know what that means!

It's weigh in day!

So, this week I did pretty good with diet and exercise.

I did the 30 day shred Mon-Fri and on Saturday my workout was helping Tony move! I'm SO sore!

I weighed in this morning and lost 1.4 lbs!

About 8.6 - 13.6 lbs to go!!

And 6 weeks to go!

I'm still deciding on whether or not to start Level 2 of the 30 Day Shred this week.

What do y'all think? Should I start Level 2 tomorrow? Or keep doing Level 1 for one more week?

It's official!

No.. We're not engaged. HAHA!

It's official that Tony is moved in to his new apartment! Which, by the way, is 3 miles away from my house. How awesome is that?!?

Yesterday Tony, his roommate Mike, and I started moving their stuff at 9:30AM. We took an hour break around noon for lunch, then back at it again.

We finished around 3PM.

Theeenn...

We headed to the new apartment to unload everything, and let's just say we were all exhausted by then!

We started unloading everything around 4:30 and were about halfway done when Tony and I decided we were starving and wanted to take a much needed break. I told him I'd pay since I got tons of money for my birthday!

So, we showered and headed to this mexican restaurant called Tara Humata and there was a live band playing and it was really nice.

I got a chicken breast and Tony got nachos, of course.

After dinner, we headed back to his new apartment and him and his roommate finished unloading the truck.

I helped too, of course. :)

We finally finished up around 11PM and it was a LONG and exhausting day!

I was just glad he FINALLY lives a few miles from me!

ALSO, I just realized this is my 100th post!! Wow! Time flies! I started this blog 3 months ago, and it has been such a great outlet for me. I love having a place to store my memories and I want to thank all of my followers who care enough to read about my life!!

Sorry I don't have a huge giveaway or anything, I'm still trying to figure all of that out. I'm still new to the blogging world.

DONE! And 30 Day Shred.

I am officially done with spring semester! Thank God!

It went by SO fast!

So Monday I started the 30 Day Shred and healthy eating habits.

I'm very proud of myself that I've done the 30 Day Shred for 3 days straight now, and eating healthy, too.

That 20 minutes of torture is worth it!

I feel so good after I get done doing it.

I can't wait to weigh in on Sunday to see if I lost ANYTHING.

I hope I lost SOMETHING. LOL.

Now that I'm done with the semester, I can concentrate harder on looking for a job.

3 days until Tony moves to my town!

It looks like thunderstorms are in the forecast for Saturday (which is moving day)

Great.

Maybe a little drizzle will feel nice, because I'm sure it will be in the 80's.

But please, let's not have thunderstorms!

On Saturday night I'm taking Tony out for dinner.

To celebrate. Plus I got tons of money for my birthday, and I have nothing to do with it, so I'm taking him out.

Plus he has done so much for me, that I wanna take him out for a change.

BEST BIRTHDAY EVER

Last night was my 21st birthday.

It was a-maz-ing.

Perfect.

I woke up around 9AM and mom came in my room and started singing Happy Birthday and she gave me a card to open.

It was such a sweet card!

So I opened it up and I saw a $20 bill and I thought "well, that's nice of her", but then I looked behind the $20 and saw a $100 bill! And I was like "wow, Mom, thanks!!". Then there was change in there too. It was a dollar in change. HAHA! She would of given me a dollar bill but didn't have one.

So $121 for my 21st birthday. :)

Then my dad called me and we agreed to meet at Best Buy at 11:30AM to buy my phone.

Then.. I walked into the kitchen and sitting on the kitchen table was a HUGE cookie cake!

Let's just say I had cookie cake for breakfast. ;) Breakfast of champions!

Then I left to go meet my dad at Best Buy to get my phone.

We met, and turns out they discontinued the Palm Pixi that I was planning on getting!

So, I decided to get the Palm Pre.

I. love. it.

It has a touchscreen, but the keyboard isn't touch.

Which is fine with me.

I'm actually VERY glad that I got this instead of the Pixi!

My new favorite toy. :)

I also ordered a hot pink skin online today for it!

So then I came home, packed a bag, got ready, and headed to Tony's apartment!

I arrived there and he told me to go in the bathroom while he got my presents ready!

I kept asking if I could come out and FINALLY he said I could.

So I walked into the living room and there were roses, chocolate roses, and a big gift bag!

So, I reached into the bag and pulled out a cute card, a gift card to Barnes and Noble, and the 30 Day Shred!!

I've been wanting the Southern Living cookbook for a few months now, so I was SO glad he got me that gift card to Barnes and Noble!

I was also VERY excited about the 30 Day Shred video since I start my diet and exercise again tomorrow to lose 10-15 lbs!

Perfect timing.

Plus, the chocolate roses weren't a bad idea either, considering I'm a chocoholic freak!

So, we had reservations at Kani House at 7:30 and decided to leave the apartment around 5:30 so we could stop at Barnes and Noble to buy the cookbook, and go to TJ Maxx to look for a shirt.

Well, we headed to TJ Maxx and I couldn't find anything I liked.

So, we went to Barnes and Noble so I could get the book.

We left there and we had a good 30 minutes before we had to head to dinner.

So we decided to sit in Tony's car and skim there the cookbook to kill time.

We finally left and got to Kani House.

We had a wonderful dinner. I ordered the fried rice, chicken, and steak and Tony ordered brown fried rice, shrimp, and chicken.

It was devine. Just perfect. I love when they cook in front of you!

Of course, I had to order my first legal drink!

I got a strawberry daqiuri! YUUUM. It was delish!

After we finished eating dinner, we headed to The Cheesecake Factory! Last year for my 20th, we went to The Cheesecake Factory after dinner and so I decided to do it again this year. It will probably become a tradition.

This is the cheesecake I got for my 20th birthday. Oreo cheesecake. Mmm!

This year I got the Dutch Apple Caramel Struesel cheesecake. OMG. It was SO good. I couldn't finish it all righ then since we just had a big meal, but don't worry, I finished it later on that night for a midnight snack. ;)

Tony got the Red Velvet Cake Cheesecake.

Omg, it was HUGE!

He took about 5 bites. Haha!

Oh, and while we were waiting to be seated at The Cheesecake Factory, I took a shot of Jager.

I can actually stand it, unlike straight vodka.

Blek.

So when I asked for a shot of Jager, the bartender said "whew" and asked for I.D. and I gave it to him, he looked at it pretty hard for like 10 seconds, and said "well happy birthday!" and gave me my shot. I took it and it was amazing. HAHA!

I was contemplating on taking another, but decided against it.

After the cheesecake, we headed back to Tony's apartment and cuddled for the rest of the night.

Woke up this morning and headed back home to see my mom for Mother's Day.

Mom did a lot of yardwork and I cleaned up my room. It was a mess!

As I was cleaning, I found one of our cats under the bed..

Her eyes were open and I just thought she was laying down, relaxing.

Then I took a closer look, and I realized she was dead.

It creeped me out, but also sad.

She was hard, eyes open.

I ran outside to tell my mom, and she's been devastated all day.

She's been crying all day long, thinking our neighbor poisoned our cat.

Our neighbor is REALLY crazy, but that's for another LONG post.

She's been just balling all day.

Not a very good Mother's Day for her. :/

I've been trying all day to let her know it's ok and that our car is in a better place.

R.I.P Kiki, you were the most talkative cat we've ever had and had so much personality.

She was only a year old.

I have no clue how she died.

Tonight, I headed to my dad's for birthday dinner and cake.

I got a card from my stepmom and step sibilings, and my dad and brother.

Really cute cards, and lots of money.

Not sure who gave me how much money, but overall I had $145 from them.

So far, that's $266!

I also got more coming from my grandparents tomorrow. ;)

This was the BEST birthday I've ever had.

Hands down.

I couldn't of asked for more.

I got to spend it with my amazing boyfriend and amazing family.

I'm so blessed and it has been a GREAT 21 years! :)

Since tomorrow is Mother's Day, Mannland5 decided to post GTYS today! So I'm going to do it real quick before all my birthday festivities begin!

1. What has been your most memorable Mother's Day? (with your mom, as a mom, or with your wife)

I can't remember which one it was, but it was just me, my mom, my brother and her boyfriend at the time and we went downtown to a cute cafe and had lunch. It was soo nice outside and I just remember it was perfect.

3. What's the oldest thing you have hanging in your closet?
A dress I wore to my uncle's wedding 11 years ago.







4. Do you whiten your teeth?
I don't use whitening kits or strips or anything like that, but I do use a toothpaste that works SOO well. After the first week of using it, I noticed a big change in my teeth and they had gotten a lot whiter! I use Arm and Hammer Complete Care Toothpaste! Go buy it!!

5. Underwear or Panties..What do you call your "unmetionables"?
Panties.




6. If you could go on vacation right now..today..where would you go?
ANYWHERE beachy!! I'm dying to go to the beach. But if I had to choose, Hawaii!!



7. Do you get offended when people cuss on their blogs?
Neh.

The tv. I could live without having to watch tv, but I definitely need a car to go everywhere, and I need a phone so I can text Tony all day to keep me sane. :)

Wow, I can't believe I'm 21!

Time FLIES!

Seriously..

I swear I was just 8 yesterday!

Last night I got home from Tony's place around 11:30 and he went to sleep around then..

Well, I was a little disappointed he was going to sleep because last year he was the first one to wish me Happy Birthday at 12AM..

So since he said he was going to sleep at 11:30, I was bummed out.

Wellllllll...

He set his alarm for 12AM and was the first one to wish me a Happy Birthday!

How sweet is that?!

I'm tellin' ya, I REALLY do have the best boyfriend!!

Also, I have the best mother!!

At 12AM she woke up and gave me one of my presents! :)

This cute little pink bag with a brown and pink polkadot bow and a message that says "Happy 21st Birthday, Courtney"

Then I opened it up and saw all of these! (You can see I alread ate the Reeses and Twix! Not much of a Butterfinger fan, so I will give that to Tony)

Then I saw this little box!

And I opened it and this beautiful ring was inside!!

It has a really light blue gem in the middle!

So, that's what my mom has gotten me, so far.

She said there's obviously more to come!

Yay!

It's 10AM and she's in the shower, so I'm sure once she gets out and ready then it will be present time! :)

Wow..I sound like I'm 5 years old.

I'm going to go get my new phone, a Palm Pixi, here in about an hour and a half to two hours!

Can't wait!

Remember how I told you yesterday I was going to go get a new top for tonight?

Well, it didn't happen because I procrastinate! Bleh!

So today I'm going to go look for a cute top after I get my phone.

Then I will head over to Tony's apartment and we will do gifts and then go out to eat! Woo hoo! :)

I had to take the picture of the picture because I don't know how to do all that scanning crap. Soo this is me around 6 or so? I can't remember. But I had this modeling gig for like a week and it was SOO fun because I could put on all these different outfits. I loved it.

This is me when I was a baby. Not sure how old. Wasn't I just the cutest baby?! When I look at pics of when I was a baby I was like dangg I hope my baby is that cute! Hahahah :) I may be a little biased. :P Let's just say if I have a daughter, she's going to look somewhat like this!

Sorry for the quality..But this is me around 4 or 5 on Christmas morning. :)

TOMORROW is my 21st birthday!!!!

It shall be very, very fun! :)

I'm just glad I will be spending it with Tony!

It sucks that I'm the oldest out of most of my friends, so I gotta wait until June, when two of my good friends, turn 21 to go get some drinks with them! Booo! ;)

Today I have a ton to do!

Since I have already take 4 finals, and I only have 1 left (that's next Wednesday) I thought I could take a break from studying and enjoy my Friday!

So I'm going to do a little shopping and get a cute top for Saturday night.

I'm also going to stop by my old job that I worked at from Oct '06 - Dec '07. I stopped working there because I realllly needed to focus on school.

It's a daycare.

I'm going to go by there tomorrow and fill out another application and see if I can get the job back!

I also might meet up with my girl, Mary, and get some Starbucks!

So, it's going to be a very relaxing day!

Also, today is Show Us Your Life Friday!

The topic is baby names!

So obviously it's going to be a good while before I have children because I'm not even married yet.

Sooooo...

I think it'd just be fun to name some names that I love!

I do have names that I really really like for a girl and a boy!

Yes, Tony and I have talked a little bit about baby names, but obviously not a lot since we are not even married.

He mentioned that he liked this name, and I agreed with him! Now I don't have middle names picked out or anything, because like I said, I'm not even married yet so I haven't really thought about baby names in detail.

Isabella

I think it is just such a pretty name! Tony and I also talked about that we would probably just call her Bella (and no, not because of that Twilight girl). It's an italian name that means "In Gods name" or "For the Love of God". How cool is that?

Another girl name that is my new favorite and that I am most certain will most likely be my daughter's name (that is, if I have one)

Ava

Ahh I just love love love it! Ava is a latin name, and since I'm half puertorican and she would be puertorican too, it would be perfect. It means "like a bird". Cool, eh?

There is another girls name that I really like. I was thisclose to be named it. My mom wanted it to be my name SO bad, but my dad really didn't. So, ever since she told me that I was almost named this, I kinda told her I would name my daughter (if I have one) this.. But, we'll see. ;)

Aubrey

It's really pretty! It's a French name (which I'm like 30% of or something). But I don't like the meaning.. "Elf Ruler".. Eh not so much. But I wouldn't have to tell her what it meant. ;)

I also love this name.

Hadley

Don't you? Maybe? It's an English name meaning "Heath Near The Wasteland".. Hmm.. I still think it's a unique and gorgeous name.

So, for a boys name, I haven't really thougt about. There are a ton of boys names that I like.

Jayden

Brayden

Peyton

Let's just say it's going to be SUPER hard to pick which one I would want to name my son! Mason is a German name and it means "Stone Worker". Jayden is an English name meaning "Green Gemstone". Brayden is an English name meaning "Broad Valley" and Peyton is a Latin name meaning "Village Warrior". Peyton is the only name that has a cool meaning, plus it's Latin. But we'll see! I still have a long time before I have to decide!!

P.S. Please don't think I'm thinking of having a baby anytime soon! It will probably be at least 5 years before I even start trying, that is if I'm married by then! God is in control and only He knows when the time will come. :)
