The first time that I actually like ran since probably middle school (for longer than 1 minute) was in January.

The reason why I never wanted to run before is beacuse I would get bad shin splints!

That's why I was scared to do it back in January when I started my journey to lose 20 lbs.

What I used to use, instead of the treadmill, was the elliptical or stairmaster since they weren't hard on my shins.

So when I tried it back in January, and actually didn't get shin splints, I was amazed.

I was also amazed that *gasp* I actually liked running!

Ever since January, I've been running a couple times a week (and doing circuit training on the other days) and I love it!

I do interval training on the treadmill.

It's where you basically sprint for a certain amount of time at a high speed, then bring the speed back down to a lower level and then walk for a certain amount of time.

I do sprints really fast for 30 seconds and then walk for 30 seconds for a total time of 20 minutes and I love it.

Yesterday I went out and even bought new running shoes!

I think so.

So, anyways, now that I have found a love for running, I was thinking of starting the Couch-to-5K program once I hit my weight loss goal of 20 lbs!

So, I was wondering if any of y'all have tried this program and what your opinions are of it?

I'd love to know!

It'd be awesome to run a 5K!

Hey! I'm on week 4 of the C25K challenge and I really like it. You should def. try it! Why not?!?


I'm starting the Couch to 5K this week! I'm so excited about it. I've heard good things. :)


I've thought about doing this {once the baby is born and the hubs deploys so like August or so.} I am so excited! And I love the new shoes :)

Those shoes are cute!! I've never done the Couch to 5k program but I did start the Shred again this week!


i havent done this program, but i am definitely trying to get myself in shape! so glad the hubs bought me an elliptical! good luck!
