Today I took my 2nd to last final (my last one is next Monday) and I'm soo ready to be done! It's looking like I'll be getting an A and 3 B's this semester which I'll be very happy with!

Long time no write.

I can't believe it has been months since the last time I wrote!

Where do I even begin?

Well living with my best friend is going amazing! There's definitely no one else I'd rather have as my roomie!

Everything with Tony is awesome! :)

The semester is almost over. December 12th is my last final and then I'm free for a month!

Thanksgiving was amazing like usual. My stepsister came down from Kansas to visit.

Things have been going great.

I'm trying to decide what I'm going to get a degree in.

I know that it's nursing as of right now, but it's going to change.

The nursing program at my school is hella hard to get into. You basically have to have a 3.5 and above and a lot of the people they accept are already LPN's.

So I have yet to decide what I'm going to major in.

I'm thinking of elementary education, but the money is holding me back.

I'm thinking of Business Management with an emphasis in Human Resources, but I'm just not sure there are a lot of jobs out there for that and I don't know if I want to be sitting in a cubicle.

I'm also thinking of exerscise science, but there aren't a lot of jobs that I can get with that degree unless I do physical therapy, but I would have to go to school for another 3 years after I graduate to get that degree.

There's also an option of doing physician assistant, but there are like 3 schools in GA with that degree and they aren't near me at all.

I just don't know what to do. I'm honestly so confused, y'all!

Catch Up

Wow. I haven't posted in almost a month!! Things have been kind of crazy. I've been getting settled into my apartment and school started back 2 weeks ago!

Tony and I went to Myrtle Beach on August 6th and had such a great time! First we stopped in historic Charleston, though. Those streets are insane! I don't know how people that live down there get around!

Tony goes to Mississippi State (he's getting an online MBA) and so tomorrow is their first game of the season so I'm going over to his place to watch it!

Then of course UGA is on Saturday!

My step-mom and step-brother move down on September 4th!! I'm very excited for this!

Help!

I need y'all's help.

Tony and I are going to Charleston, SC on Saturday before we go to Myrtle Beach on Sunday. We are going to stay in a nice bed and breakfast just for one night.

We are staying in the historic part of Charleston and I need y'alls help.

Are there any places that we MUST go to/see?

Are there any restaurants that we must eat at?

I need your help! It would be greatly appreciated! :)

Settled in

I've now been in my new apartment for over a week!

It's definitely been exciting and a huge change.

I've definitely been homesick at night, but it's getting better.

I know that I can go home whenever I want. Since it's 45 minutes away.

I've also been having SO much fun with Mary.

On Saturday, August 6th, Tony and I will be going to Charleston, SC for the night, then on that Sunday we will be driving to Myrtle Beach, SC to stay with his sister, her husband, and their ADORABLE 2 1/2 yo daughter!! We are SO excited!! Eeek! :)
Well, tonight I get to see Tony's parents for dinner, and then I'm not sure what else this week has in store for me!!

Bittersweet

I can't believe that in 2 days I will be in my new apartment.

It doesn't seem real that I'm moving out.

I've lived at home for 22 years and now I'm leaving.

To go live in a different city 45 minutes away.

I don't do well with change and this kind of change is bittersweet.

I'm soo excited to be getting my own apartment (with my best friend) and finally venturing out. I never thought this day would come and I've never been more excited for anything, ever.

But I won't see my mom everyday. I won't see my animals everyday. My dog, Frankie, won't scratch at my door multiple times a day because he wants to be near me.

I won't see Tony everyday. Since he moved closer to me over a year ago, I basically see him everyday since he's 5 minutes away. But now that I'm moving 45 minutes away, we won't be able to see each other as much. More like on weekends and maybe once during the week if I'm lucky. It sucks, but that's how it was the first year we were together.

It's just very, very bittersweet, yet so exciting.

I'm all packed and ready to go. There are a few things that I haven't packed because I will be coming out here Sunday (because I go to my dad's house on Sunday's for dinner) and so I can pick up more stuff then.

We won't have internet and cable until Monday afternoon, so I will update y'all then on how it's going. :)

Goodness

Oh my goodness. I have been such a bad blogger! In the past 2 weeks I have been studying for the TEAS test and enjoying the summer.

I thought that once school was out that I would be a better blogger. Well, doesn't seem that way! Darn! I've also started packing a little bit because in 9 days I will be moving into my apartment!!!!

I remember counting down all the back from 9 months and now it's 9 DAYS!

I seriously cannot believe it's almost here! Where has the summer gone? Plus my TEAS test is 2 weeks from tomorrow! Eeek!

I know that moving out is going to be an adjustment, but I just know I'm going to love it. And I won't be so stressed out all the time.

This weekend Tony and I are going to go see Horrible Bosses and going to be spending a little time with his parents. :) I love them!

Then I'm going to do a little more packing and studying on Sunday before I go to my dad's house for dinner.

Then next week is my last week in my house!! Can y'all tell how excited I am to move out?!

The only thing that sucks a little about it is that I won't be 3 miles away from Tony anymore. More like 25 miles. :( But that's how it was the first year we were dating. He lived 25 miles away and it was fine. We made it work!

The reason I'm moving out is because I'm transferring colleges and the college that I will be going to is 20ish miles away from where I live now and it would be sucky to have to drive that everyday, so my apartment that I got is 3 miles away from school! Woo!

What else is going on in my life? Remember that 20 lb weight loss goal I reached in April? Still keeping it off! I gained 2 1/2 lbs but that was to be expected because I was coming off a low carb diet. I still workout 3-4 times a week.

I wanna lose 10-15 more (probably more like 10) eventually. Probably by next summer..so I have a while. HAHA!

You know what's weird? I never seem to gain weight when I go on vacations! If I do, it's like a .4 gain! Ha! But it's just water weight and it goes back down the next day. Isn't that weird? And it happens around the holidays. I'm not complaining, but I just think it's odd! Hey, I'll take it! :)

Ramblings

It's 4th of July weekend and I'm excited!

My mom and her boyfriend and his two kids went to Myrtle Beach for the weekend so I'm at home alone. I like it, except at night I get a little freaked because our next door neighbor is kind of psycho.

Tony's sister, her husband and their daughter, Madison are in town until Sunday!

She's almost 2 1/2 yo and Tony and I just ADORE her and we could seriously just watch her all night long. She's hilarious and so smart!

Tonight all of us (including Tony's parents) are going to Applebee's because we were invited by Tony's niece.

Speaking of her, she's pregnant and I will be attending her baby shower tomorrow with Tony's sisters and momma.

3 weeks from tomorrow I move out and I get more and more excited each day.

I'm not gonna lie, I get a little nervous when people say that moving in with someone with your best friend (instead of becoming best friends with someone that you move in with) is a bad idea. They say that we will end up hating each other.

I just can't see it. Hating Mary. She's my best friend and has been for 3 years (next month). I mean there are things about her that can annoy me and I'm sure there are things about me that annoy her. Nobody's perfect. We can't always like everything about everyone.

 I just don't know. I mean I already know she's going to be in my wedding and I think living together will make us closer. Who knows. I can't predict the future.

I think I've asked y'all before, but did any of you move in with your already best friend? How'd that go?

You know that Mary and I just found out something REALLY crazy?

About a month ago she found out a guy she really likes lives in the same apartment complex that we are! So she's totally stoked about that.

But get this. She asked him yesterday what his apartment number was and you won't believe it but he lives right across the hall!!! How crazy is that?! Like, what are the odds?!

SO crazy!

The TEAS test (to get into nursing school) is in 4 weeks from today and I'm so nervous. If I don't make at least an 80, I have to wait 1 YEAR to take it again! Erg!

I've been studying a lot and I hope it pays off! Did any of you study for the TEAS test? Was it hard?

Apartment Update

I know that I haven't posted in a while (and my posts are kind of random and not about anything y'all care about) but the apartment date has been changed again and hopefully for the final time!!

New move in date - July 23rd!!! :)

Pushed Back

So my best friend and I were supposed to sign the lease on July 21st, but it's been pushed back to July 26th!

That's fine with me. Only 5 days. But it kinda sucks, lol.

So hopefully I can start moving in that day, if not that day then that weekend, July 30th!

Either way I'll be moving in a little over a month!!! :)

A New Beginning

So the lady from the apartments just called me and she just said that they have an apartment available for July 21st!!!

But we probably won't be moving in until that Saturday, so the 23rd of July!!

I can't remember the last time I was this excited!

It's on the 3rd floor which is ok because I need the exercise!

It's going to be such an exciting adventure and I cannot wait to move in with my best friend!!

I also cannot wait to start packing, which is going to happen here in the next couple weeks!

Summer

I'm seriously having the best summer vacation!

I've been spending mucho time with Tony and my best friend, Mary, and it's been so fun!

Sunday was Mary's 22nd birthday, so we went to The Cheesecake Factory along with our friend, Laura.

I got this drink called a Caribbean Cooler and it was basically a mix of a pina colada and a strawberry daqiuri! It was DELISH! Mary got the Strawberry Daqiuri and Laura got a Georgia Peach which is Skyy Vodka, Peach Liqueur and peaches swirled with raspberries. Now I normally don't like peach things, but this was devine! Yummo!

I got the White Pizza and Mary got a pasta dish and Laura got the Baja Tacos! All of it was SO good!

I got some pictures of myself and my outfit before I went out and I also got some pictures of us at dinner, but I haven't uploaded those yet, and when I will I will post those.

Tonight my grandparents are stopping by, just for the night, because tomorrow they are headed to Charlotte, NC to visit more family. I wish they could stay longer!

Friday I am getting sushi with Mary and then Friday night Tony and I are going to see The Charlie Daniels Band!!

This week is a busy week, but it's a good kind of busy! ;)

Oh my goodness.

I haven't posted since my birthday/Mother's Day.

What is wrong with me?!

Well I've been on summer vacay for almost a month and I've been enjoying myself!

I know I said that I'd post more once school is out, but it seems like that's not the case!

I've just been having SO much fun!

Here's what I've been up to:

laying out with best friend, getting burnt with best friend, sushi dates with best friend, Helen, GA with Tony, Kansas City for sister's high school graduation, shopping, relaxing, catching up on Season Finales on my DVR, Starbucks dates, etc.

A ton has been going on and I still have over 2 months of summer vacay left! :)

I still don't have a laptop since my broke a month ago, but I'm pretty sure I'm getting a new one next week!

And once that happens then I can post some pictures!!

Tomorrow night Tony and I are grilling some burgers and I think we might be going to the lake on Saturday.

Sunday is my best friend's birthday and that night we are going to The Cheesecake Factory with our other friend, Laura, to celebrate and indulge in some good food and drinks! :)

I still don't have an exact date of when I'm moving into my apartment, but the lady from the apartments should be calling here in the next couple weeks and I can't wait to put an exact date on it so I can start REALLY counting down!! :)

I also got a cute new bathing suit from VS that I can't wait to share with y'all!

I got a cute green dress from Lulu's that I will be wearing Sunday night and I got a black maxi dress from Forever 21, a couple shirts from Kohls, brown wedge shoes from Payless, a pink dress from Know Style and many other things!

Now I'm going to go relax some more and be happy that I don't have to go back to school for over 2 months!! :D

Mother's Day and Birthday!

First of all, I just want to say Happy Mother's Day to all of the amazing mothers out there especially mine! :)

Second of all, today I turn 22!!

I was just thinking of how I feel like I just turned 18!

Where has the time gone?!

I know that 22 is still young, but I feel a little old. Haha!

This is my 3rd birthday celebrating with Tony and last night Tony and I celebrated by going to Crackerbarrel for breakfast, then he got me a mini german chocolate cupcake at Whole Foods, and then PF Changs for dinner, plus he got me some chocolate covered graham crackers (SO good), a nice card, a small shopping spree!!!!!, and some ice cream! :) He is so good to me!

It's a tradition of ours now to get cheesecake at the Cheesecake Factory after dinner for dessert, but last night we were WAY too full, so we're going to go next weekend! :)

Tonight I'm celebrating with my dad and brother and my dad is making me my favorite dinner! Breaded steak, tostones, and rice! Also a cake! Yuuum! I'm pretty sure I'll gain like 548359843 lbs this weekend.

Tomorrow night is my last final of the semester (chemistry..blek) and then I'm D-O-N-E done!

On the 20th I'm flying out with my dad and brother to Kansas to visit my family and watch my sister graduate from high school! I can't believe it's already here! She was just 4 years old!!!

Well I'm going to go celebrate all the things going on today ;)

That I have a pretty big scar on my thigh from getting burnt by spaghetti. Apparently it was REALLY hot spaghetti that just came off of the stove because it burned me pretty bad where I had huge water blisters and I had to wrap my leg up for like a month afterwards. Oh, and I was at my best friend's house at the time. And her parents didn't even think to take me to the hospital. Yeah, my mom was pissed. I was, too. Oh and this happened when I was 15.

Birthday and Easter

Well, my laptop's motherboard has died. :(

So basically I need a new laptop, but probably won't be getting one for another few weeks.

It's ok, though. I can just get on my mom's computer sometimes or Tony's.

I just wanted to say HAPPY EASTER!

And that my stepsister's 18th birthday was yesterday and I cannot believe that she is already 18! Our parents got married when she was 4 and I was 8!

So I've basically known her all of her life!

She's my best friend and I honestly don't know what I'd do without her, or where I'd be.

I tell her everything and she tells me everything.

Since I'm on my mom's computer I don't have a picture of her and I on here, but we've had thousands of pictures taken together and I love it!

She's graduating high school next month and I know there are going to be lots of tears shed on my part.

Laptop

So I'm on my mom's desktop computer because my laptop won't turn on!! It's fully charged and everything!

I'm so frusturated.

I pulled out the battery and I don't think it's the battery.So tomorrow I'm going to go get it checked out and see if it's fixable.

If not, gotta get a new laptop!

This week actually went by pretty fast, which is good!

Today I finished up the 2nd week of the Couch-to-5k  and so far so good!

Tonight we are supposed to get thunderstorms and Tony and I are just going to make a pizza and relax and watch a movie or some TV.

One thing y'all might now know about me (or do you) is that I love thunderstorms!

I get it from my mom - she loves them too, which then made me love them as I was growing up.

Tomorrow I'm going to be having a GDO (girls day out) with Mary (my best friend.

We're going to get sushi (eeeek! I've been craving it for months now) and then we're going to head to the college that we will be going to in the fall because she wants to check some things out there.

We're also going to go to the apartments that we will be moving into this summer, because she has to turn in her application.

Tomorrow night Tony and I are going to take out his parents because on Monday it's his dad's birthday!

Sunday I have a ton of studying to do because my first final is on April 26th!!! SO close!

I can't wait for this semester to be over and to have a little break this semester (even though I do have to study for the TEAS test that I will be taking on July 29th).

My last final is May 9th and then I'm DONE.DONE.DONE for over 3 months!

Oh, and my 22nd birthday is May 8th, just in case you wanna get me somethin'. ;)

Apartment!

I have amazing news!

So, my best friend, Mary, and I were going to get a 4 bedroom 4 bathroom apartment on campus for $585 and we would be moving in August 14th.

Well, the day to start picking apartments and rooms started on Monday, and since I will be transferring to this college from another one (Mary, too) we weren't able to get first dibs in rooms. Freshman got to have the first pick.

So basically, there were no available rooms for Mary and I. I mean, there were, but not for both of us to be living in the same apartment! And that's what we really want.

So we talked it over with our dad's and we are going to be getting our own 2 bedroom 2 bathroom off campus apartment!!

We've already taken a tour and it's beautiful. And get this...it's CHEAPER than the on campus apartments would have been!

It will be around $540 a month (sometimes higher sometimes lower) which is cheaper than $585 on campus!

So, we are pretty much stoked. We are going to have our own apartment with our own stuff.

Another plus is that these apartments are 2.5 miles away from school!

The luxury of having an on campus apartment would have been that we were ON campus.

But since we can't do that, at least these off campus apartments are only 2.5 miles away!

Score!

Another plus is that I get the master bedroom!

Ah ha!

Mary and I already talked about it and she seriously doesn't care if I take it or not.

So I made sure she didn't want it, and now it's mine! :)

Tomorrow I'm dropping off my application and application fee.

It's all starting to feel so real.

I will be 45 minutes away from Tony, which is gonna suck.

But we've done that before!

He used to live 45 mins away from me (like 2 minutes away from these apartments!).

Now he lives 5 mins away from me.

Anyways..

We don't have an exact date yet, but they will probably let us know in about a month what our moving date will be!

Although Mary and I are going to have our own apartment, we aren't paying for it. Which kind of isn't really OUR apartment.

Our dad's are paying for it. And no, we're not spoiled rich girls. HAHA!

My dad has the money to pay for it, and he said as long as I study hard and get good grades, then he'll continue to pay for the apartment and food/gas.

Although, I might get a part time job out there, just so I can have money for fun stuff!

Eek! SO excited.

Once I move in, I'll definitely be taking pictures.

Although we don't have the date yet, we told them that we wanted to move in at the end of July, early August since school starts August 17th and we want to be able to be settled before it starts.

I cannot wait to live with my best friend.

We are going to have the time of our lives!

Question - Couch-to-5k

So today is my last day of week 1 of the couch-to-5k program!

So far, it's been easy.

I break a sweat, but I'm not really out of breath when I'm done with the workout.

For all of you fellow couch-to-5ker's, is it supposed to be this easy the first week?

I have heard that it might be easy the first week, but to just keep going and not rush it.

Couch-to-5K & Tuesdays

Yesterday I started the Couch-to-5k program!

It says to do it 3 days a week, so I'm going to do it Mon, Wed, and Friday each week.

I'm pumped about it!

It's Tuesday, y'all.

Tuesdays aren't my favorite day of the week.

I can stand Mondays, but Tuesdays just suck.

The only reason is because I have Chem lab at 7PM.

I hate having class at 7PM, especially Chem lab!

Oh well. In 3 weeks is my final and then I'm DONE with Chemistry for good!

I can't believe how quick this semester is going.

Wasn't it just January?

My last final is May 9th, which is basically 5 weeks away! Eek!

I'm not taking a class this summer (thank God..I think it's the first time in 3 years that I haven't taken a summer class) but I am going to be studying all summer for the TEAS test to get into nursing school which I take on July 29th!

So I will be able to study for that for a couple months.

Well, I'm off to workout!

I do. I like to know where I'm at and if my weight happens to be up a lb or 2 one week, then I'll know for the next week to exercise more or cut back on certain foods. Since I reached my goal today, of course I was weighing myself while I was losing weight to see how much I lost.

Hmm..I really cannot think of anything that was really nasty.

FINAL Weigh-In

Today is an important day because I got to weigh myself for HOPEFULLY the final time!

I ate all the right things this week and I worked out every day.

When I stepped on the scale, it read that I lost EXACTLY 2.2 lbs!!

And that's what I needed to lose this week to get to my goal!!

So, ladies, I have reached my goal of losing 20 lbs!

I've very excited and very happy.

I lost 20 lbs in 12 weeks and my average weight loss a week was 1.7 lbs which I think is excellent.

This week I'm going to be slowly adding the carbs back in and I'm still going to be eating healthy foods. I can't go back to the way I was eating before.

I also think I'm going to start the Couch-to-5K this week!

I'll keep you updated on that also! :)

This is me before I started losing any weight at all. This was the summer of '08 and I'm the 2nd from the left, obviously. Ugh. Seeing myself like that makes me disgusted. I can't believe I got that big. I was 60 lbs heavier!

Before I lost 20 lbs: 

I'm obviously more tan than the after picture. This picture was taken in Novemeber but between Novemeber and when I started losing weight, I maintained the same weight, so that's why I added this picture

After losing 20 lbs:

I'm so happy that I'm done, even though I still want to lose 5-10 more before August (am I weird?)

Random Tidbits

• Sorry that I've been MIA this week. School has been cra-zay!
• My grandparents are coming in town tonight! I'm very close with them and haven't seen them since Thanksgiving, so I'm super excited to see them!
• Speaking of my amazing g-rents, they make the best food ever and I'm very excited to eat their amazing goodness on Sunday! :o)
• Saturday Night Live will always be hilarious.
• I just learned earlier today that Will Farrell is going to be replacing Steve Carell on The Office! I don't think I've ever been so happy. Will is one of my favorite actors!
• I realllly hope that this week I get to my goal weight! I'll be pretty disappointed if I don't.
• I'm moving in with my best friend (and 2 random girls..eek!) in 4 1/2 months and I honestly really don't think I've been this excited about something before. People keep telling me not to live iwth your best friend because it could ruin the relationship, but I honestly don't think that will happen. Have any of you moved in with your best friend before? How did it go?
• I have been craving sushi like a mad woman lately and next weekend I swear I'm going to get me some.
• Tony keeps calling me "skinny minnie" and I like it.
• Even though I've lost almost 20 lbs, I stil want to lose 5-10 more in the summer before the Fall semester starts. Am I crazy?
• I honestly don't think I can go a day without sugar.

1. what inspires you? My family, friends, God.

2. what was the last thing you bought yourself? Food, I think. Hah. Soon it's going to be clothes because mine are becoming way too big on me!

3. would you rather watch a movie in a theater or from the comfort of your own home? Depends. Most of the time Tony and I just watch them at home, but I've been wanting to go to the theater lately because it's been a while since I've been!

4. household chore you don't mind doing? Vaccuming.

5. coffee or tea? I hate tea. I don't like black coffee but I'll drink a frapp or anything from Starbucks! :)

6. what could you eat every day and not get sick of?? Sushi!! Or rice.

7. what's the last book you read? My Anatomy book. Sad.

8. do you think you look you "look" your age? Yeah. When I was younger I used to get that I looked older all the time. Like, 3+ years older. But now people say I look my age.

This week went by SUPER fast, don't you think?

This week I lost 1.4 lbs! Which isn't bad at all!

I was hoping for 2, but it's ok!

I've lost 17.8 lbs and I have 2.2 lbs to go!

Hopefully I can lose those 2.2 lbs this coming week and then I'll be DONE!

I've lost 2.8  lbs in a week before so I know that if I work reallly hard, then I can get it done this week!!!

I'm SO excited!
