Birthday Boy!

Today is Tony's birthday!!

Last night I took him out to eat at Williamson Brothers Bar-B-Q. It's our favorite bbq place!

We just looove it.

We both got pulled pork.

He got a side of mac & cheese and brunswick stew, and I got a side of mac & cheese and potato salad! MMM!

Then we decided we wanted to share a slice of Key Lime Pie for dessert, but they were all out. :(

So we got a slice of Lemon Pie and it was soo good!

Of course I did not take pictures. I ALWAYS forget and when I get home I always kick myself for not taking any!!

I WILL get better about this.

Tony and I are going out with his parents for his birthday tonight because they too wanted to take him out!

This morning I'm taking him out  for breakfast at IHOP! Mmm!

I'll let y'all know what we get! I can't wait!

I just want to say happy birthday to the most amazing man in my life (besides my daddy).

He brings joy to my life every second I'm with him and I could not imagine life without this man.

I hope we get to celebrate many more of his birthdays together!!

I love you, Tony!!

2 DAYS!

2 days until Tony and I leave for Myrtle Beach!!

We will have 3 whole days of doing nothing but relaxing on the beach and spending time with his family and his ADORABLE 18 month old niece!! I can't wait!!

We leave Thursday around 3 PM and get back Monday night!!

Can you tell I'm excited?!

30DBJ: Day 27

Day 27: Your worst habit

Easy.

Procrastination.

I procrastinate with EVERYTHING and I HATE it.

Everything.

Everything you can think of, I procrastinate with it.

Ugh.

I'm really really trying to work on it though.

30DBJ: Day 26

Your week in great detail.

I honestly don't have time to write out my week in great detail.

Let's just say I went to watch a UFC Fight with Tony and our friends, took Tony out to dinner for his birthday, did tons and tons of homework/studying, relaxed.

It's Cell Phone Saturday!

Upload some pictures from your cell phone!

Me and my dog, Frankie hiking up a mountain!

Me. Yes, I was stopped.

My dog frankie chillin in the backseat.

It's SATURDAY! & 30DBJ

I just love Saturdays.

They are my favorite day of the week!

Today Tony and I are going to the lake!

It's such a beautiful day outside!

So why not? :)

Also, it's day 24 of the 30 Day Blog Journal!!

Day 24: Where I Live

I live in a suburb of Atlanta called Alpharetta.

I've lived here for 14 years, but have moved 4 times to different houses since living here.

Alpharetta is a really pretty city with expensive houses.

I live about 2 minutes from downtown Alpharetta which has cute little shops and restaurants!

I grew up here, and I always used to go to Northpoint Mall.

And the AMC theatre.

Both of these places are about 10 minutes from me and  were me and my friends hangout spots until I started driving.

There's also a Starbucks next door that we used to hangout at too.

I have a TON of memories of these places, and sometimes it makes me a little sad how fast I'm growing up and that I'm  not 14 anymore.

It's one of the reasons why I want to raise my children here.

Wills Park is also a popular place, too.

I used to come here a LOT.

I went to Crabapple Crossing Elementary, Northwestern Middle School, Milton High School, Alpharetta High School, and Independence High School.

Yeah, I got around.

Haha.

I have so many memories in Alpharetta, and I can never imagine myself living anywhere else.

This is home to me.

There is SO many more things I could talk about, like the Alpharetta Rec Center where I had my first kiss when I was 13.

Or Chili's where me and my friends would go to eat almost every weekend.

I just love this place, even if it's not California or New York, it's perfect to me.

Happy Saturday!

1 week and 30DBJ

1 week until Tony and I go on vacay to Myrtle Beach!!

I'm SO pumped! :)

Also, today is day 22 of the 30 Day Blog Journal!

Day 22: A website

This website is basically texts that people have sent and they post them on this website but without revealing themselves, they only post their area code.

You just have to go to the website to understand.

It's really crude, though.

So, just a warning.

Most of them are about hooking up, one night stands, and drinking.

30DBJ: Day 21

Yay my internet is finally working!

And two days until the weekend!! :)

I'm SO pumped!

Day 21: A recipe

Who doesn't love food?

Since fall is just around the corner, I decided to post this recipe!

I make this every fall/winter and it's one of my favorites!

Pumpkin Cheesecake

*This isn't my picture*

Serves 12

For the Crust:

1 1/4 cups graham-cracker crumbs (from 10 whole crackers)
1/4 cup sugar
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

For the Filling:

4 packages (8 ounces each) bar cream cheese, very soft
1 1/4 cups sugar
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 cup canned pumpkin puree
2 tablespoons pumpkin-pie spice
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 large eggs, room temp

Directions:

•Preheat oven to 350 degrees, with rack in center. Assemble a 9-inch nonstick springform pan, with the raised side of the bottom part facing up.

•Make the crust: In a medium bowl, mix cracker crumbs, sugar, and butter until moistened; press firmly into bottom of pan. Bake until golden around edges, 10 to 12 minutes.

•Make the filling: With an electric mixer, beat cream cheese and sugar on low speed until smooth; mix in flour (do not overmix). Add pumpkin puree, pie spice, vanilla, and salt; mix just until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing until each is incorporated before adding the next.

•Place springform pan on a rimmed baking sheet. Pour filling into springform, and gently smooth top. Transfer to oven; reduce oven heat to 300 degrees. Bake 45 minutes. Turn off oven; let cheesecake stay in oven 2 hours more (without opening).

•Remove from oven; cool completely. Cover with plastic wrap; refrigerate until firm, at least 4 hours. Unmold before serving.

ENJOY!

30 Day Song Challenge Day 29 & 30

Aww this song challenge was really fun! I can't believe it's already over! Went by so quick!

Here is Day 29:

A song from your childhood.

When I think of my childhood, Hanson comes to mind! Mainly this song.

They were the first group I remember liking and listening to!

Hanson - MMMbop

And here we go with Day 30:

Your favorite song at this time last year

Cascada - Evacuate the Dance Floor

I had so much fun with this challenge and I hope y'all had fun listening to my music choices!

Whoopsies! 30DBJ: Day 18 & 19

Ahh! Sorry I have gotten SO behind on all of this blog journaling!

My internet at my house is down and the guy won't be coming until tomorrow afternoon!

I have two online classes, so I have been going to Tony's apartment to study and work on my online classwork.

Day 18: My wedding/future wedding/past wedding

Well, since I'm not married I will be posting about my future wedding.

One thing that I'm almost certain about my future wedding..is that I'm pretty want red to be the theme.

But of course, I won't be getting married for a while, so it might change.

But I want something like this:

I want my bridesmaids dresses to be red, I want my cake to have red on it, I want red wedding shoes. Red roses.

You get the idea.

Of course, my dress is going to be white.

I just think red is such a romantic color.

And I want my dress to look something like this.

That's all I really have thought about my future wedding so far.

Let's just say I can't wait to start planning! ;)

Day 19: A talent of yours

Uhhh what if I don't have one?!

I can roll my tongue into a 3 leaf clover! That's a talent! HAHA!

30DBJ: Day 17

Day 17 - an art piece (drawing, sculpture, painting, etc)

I love (no pun intended) this scuplture! :)

30 Day Song Challenge: Day 27 & 28

Since I forgot to do day 27 here is both days 27 & 28

Day 27 : A song you wish you could play

I wish I could play any song, really.

This was the first to come to mind.

Jewel - "You Were Meant For Me"

Day 28: A song that makes you feel guilty

I don't really know what this means exactly, but I guess I kind of feel guilty for listening to this! HAHA!

Sir Mix A Lot - Baby Got Back

Swamped!

Ugh, I've been swamped with school work since Monday!!

I have studied/done homework every night since then and I'm SO looking forward to tomorrow night and all day saturday to just relax with Tony!

Then, of course, it's back to the books on Sunday. :/

I already know that Chemistry lab is going to be the death of me.

Ahhh!

Tomorrow Tony and I are going to cook up some pork chops, homemade mashed potatoes, and (maybe) fried green tomatoes! Yuum! And we're going to rent a movie and CHILL!

Saturday is going to be a packed day of fun!

Saturday morning I'm going to go get the rest of my textbooks for school, then drop Tony's car off to get an oil change at 1:00, then head to Kennesaw, GA which is 45 minutes away to go to the Pigs and Peaches BBQ Festival!

It's a huge festival with tons of vendors selling bbq and live bands playing.

Tony and I are HUGE bbq lovers, so I know that we are just going to love this!

Then Saturday night we will be going out to eat and watch a UFC fight on tv! Tony LOVES UFC fights, so we always go when there is one on. Usually every couple Saturdays.

Have a GREAT weekend, y'all!!

30 Day Song Challenge - Day 26

A song you can play on an instrument.

I can play this song on the acoustic guitar. I mean, it's only a few notes so it's really not that tough. And I taught myself! :)

If you fast forward to :52 that is the part I can play. :)

The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army

30DBJ: Day 15 & 16

I'm getting behind on this stuff!

Whoops!

Day 15: Your dream house

Well, I don't really have a particular house that I want, but I do know if I could have my dream house.. it would look a little bit like this!

I am such a fan of the wrap-around porches!!

With this view from my deck! Plus, I have to have a huge yard!

I'll take this as my living room.

I'd love for this to be my kitchen!!

My daughter would have this room

My son would have either of these rooms.

This would be my master bedroom

This would be the master bath

I'll take this pool..

And this kitchen..

And you basically have my dream home!

Day 16: A song that makes you cry (or nearly)

Wednesday, August 18, 2010

30 Day Song Challenge: Day 25

Day 25 of the 30 Day Song Challenge and I'm supposed to post a song that makes me laugh.

Without a doubt, this was the first song to come to my mind!

I love these guys.

Flight of the Conchords - "Business Time"

Also, this one doesn't so much make me laugh, although it does make me chuckle a little, it just makes me feel good because when I hear it I think about a certain girl. Haha!

30 Day Song Challenge: Day 24

So, it's Day 24 of the 30 Day Song Challenge!

Wow, this is going by quick!

Day 24 - A song you want to play at your funeral

This is the last thing I'd ever think about, but I guess if I HAD to choose...

Sarah McLachlan - Angel

Brad Paisley - When I Get Where I'm Going

30DBJ: Day 13 & 14

Whooopsies.

This girl has been MAJOR busy in the last two days!

I started school yesterday and I already have so much to do!

This is going to be one tough semester!

So, I missed doing Day 13 & 14 of the 30 Day Blog Journal!

Day 13: A fictional book

Chita : A memory of Last Island

I  haven't read this book, but I heard it's really good!!

Day 14: A non-fictional book

Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea

Now, I haven't read this book, YET, but I'm going to very soon! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Chelsea Handler, and I know if we ever met, we would become best friends.

So, once I get money, I'm going out and buying her books!

30 Day Song Challenge - Day 23

A song you want played at your wedding.

Well, I'm not sure if this means a song you want played as I'm walking down the aisle, or a song Iwant for me and my future husband's first dance.

But I do know for sure that I will have my first dance with my future husband to one of these songs!

Tim McGraw - My Best Friend

Kenny Chesney - "Me and You"

Can you tell I love country music? HAHA!

One of these songs will be my father daughter dance. It's going to be hard which one to pick! I love them all!!

Bob Carlisle - "Butterfly Kisses"

Tim McGraw - "I Loved Her First"

Chuck Wicks - "Stealing Cinderella"

Now I have no idea what I will be walking down the aisle to!

I have a lot of time to figure that out, though! Haha.

I do think I want this song somewhere in my ceremony though! Maybe when the bridesmaids are walking in. Not sure.

Taylor Swift - "Untouchable"

Stuck Like Glue

I have a new obession.

I LOVEE this song!

The video is awesome, too!!

30 Day Song Challenge: Day 22

A song you listen to when you're sad.

This one is easy!

Everytime I'm sad, I automatically listen to this song and I realize it really is going to be okay.

Bob Marley - "Three Little Birds"

So, today is my last day of summer vacation. I'm going to do a lot of relaxing, but I do have some stuff to get done!

I have to go shopping for some school supplies! Haha! I sound like a little kid, but I need to get highlighters and notebooks! I want to be really organized this semester because I'm going to get good grades (I just need to keep telling myself that and maybe it will happen, HA!)

I also need to get my oil changed & tires rotated today. I could do it tomorrow, but I really do not want to have to worry about it. Although I only have one class tomorrow night at 7, I have two online classes that are going to be tough, so that is what I want to be doing all day tomorrow before my class at 7.

Also, I wanted to do a little shopping for clothes today! I went on Friday, but I was unsuccessful. :|

So, I'll try again today and hopefully will be successful!

I hope y'all have a GREAT Sunday!

30DBJ: Day 11 & Day 12

Since I didn't get around to posting Day 11 yesterday, today I will post Day 11 AND Day 12.
Day 11: A photo of you recently

This was taken a couple weeks ago. I was getting ready to head over to Tony's apartment and I decided to take a pic! Why not? Haha

Now for Day 12.

Something I am OCD about.

I don't know why, but if it is raining, and I'm driving or riding with someone else, and there windshield wipers aren't moving so that the water can go away, I get very frustrated and I yell at the person to turn their windshield wipers on.

Or If I'm driving then I have to have them on even if it's sprinkling!

I don't know what it is about water on the windshield.

Haha.

I'm weird.

When I'm with Tony and he's driving, and it's raining (or even sprinkling), and he doesn't turn on his windshield wipers, I get soo annoyed and he knows this.

So he will purposely not turn his wipers on.

How rude.

Hah!

30 Day Song Challenge - Day 21

A song you listen to when you're happy.

There are actually a lot of songs I listen to when I'm happy!

But here are just a few.

Natasha Bedingfield - "Touch"

Black Eyed Peas - "I Gotta Feeling"

By the way, my dad and stepmom are going to see Black Eyed Peas in concert tonight!! How lucky!

Mike Posner - "Cooler Than Me"

Have a great Saturday, y'all! It's my last Saturday of summer vacay! :/

Tonight Tony and I are going out to celebrate our friend's birthday!

We've Come A Long Way!

Today is a special day, y'all!

It's Tony's and my year and a half anniversary!

We aren't really celebrating because we only celebrate year anniversaries, but it's still special nonetheless.

He is my knight in shining armor and my best friend!

I love you, Tony! :)

New Layout!

Have y'all noticed my new header? And background?

I just adore it!

30 Day Song Challenge: Day 20

YAY it's Friday, y'all!!

I'm so glad!

Today, I'm gonna do a little shopping!

I'm in desperate need of some new clothes!

Tonight Tony and I are going to grill some steaks to celebrate him being 25% done with his MBA! How awesome is that?!

2 semesters and 2 summer sessions to go!!

I'm SO proud of him!

Today is also Day 20 of the 30 Day Song Challenge!

A song you listen to when you're angry.

Hmm..

Eminem -"The Way I Am"

I love him. I'm sorry. I know y'all are probably thinkin' I'm crazy, but I just love him.
